ICRAR Travel

Dr Alan DuffySince our last eNewsletter many ICRAR staff and students have been traveling the world to meet up with collaborators, present at conferences and learn from the international research community.  Dr Alan Duffy recently spoke at the Institute of Astronomy,Cambridge Summer Conference, this year themed 'Darkness Visible', focusing on Dark Matter from every angle.

Former attendees to the Cambridge Summer Conference have included Stephen Hawking, and this year's attendance read as a who's who of astronomy and physics.  One of the conference highlights was an update from the Large Hadron Collider team on their work.

Particle Physicists from Fermilab and CERN, as well as other underground dark matter detection experiments presented along with astronomers from the FERMI gamma ray satellite and theoretical astrophysicists like Dr Duffy who try and understand where the Dark Matter is.
