At UWA CELT, you can choose from a range of high-quality English language programs designed to support your goals. Our English language programs combine expert teaching with practical language use, helping you to develop the skills and confidence to become and lifelong learner of English.

English language programs:

• Academic English and Study Skills Bridging Course: the direct English language pathway to most degrees at UWA. 
• Language and Communication Essentials:  this course will support you to improve your ability to communicate in English with greater clarity, confidence, accuracy and fluency. It is available to students from beginner to pre-advanced levels and runs in five-week terms with nine intakes each year. This course is the direct English pathway to UWA College programs.
• English for Academic Purposes: this will help you to improve your language ability in preparation for tertiary studies in an English-speaking environment. You can join this course with an upper-intermediate level of English, and study from 5-15 weeks. This course can be taken as an alternative English language pathway to your degree, however to meet UWA's English language competency requirement, you will need to sit an approved English language examination (such as IELTS or TOEFL).
• IELTS Examination Preparation: this five-week course is for students with an upper-intermediate level of English and is run subject to student demand.
