Receiving your certificate upon completion of your degree

Will I automatically receive my certificate once I have completed my course?

You will not automatically receive your award certificate upon completion of your course. To receive your award certificate you must apply to graduate by completing the application to graduate form in studentConnect.

Award certificates are not issued upon request as they must be formally conferred by the University at either a Graduation Ceremony or a Senate Conferral Date before they can be issued.

Please be aware that if you delay your application to graduate, the University will not back date your graduation date to your completion date. The graduation date printed on your certificate will be the date your award was formally conferred by the University even though this may be years after you completed your course.
