Applicable study: To encourage and assist high-achieving commencing students who are experiencing financial hardship to accept an offer of a Direct Pathway into Medicine and pursue a Doctor of Medicine at the University
Tenure: 14 semesters, which are normally consecutive
- six semesters of a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with a major in Medical Science and six semesters for the Doctor of Medicine; or
- six semesters for any other undergraduate degree or major and eight semesters for the Doctor of Medicine.

The late Alice Cummins bequeathed funds to The University of Western Australia (‘the University’) to provide a scholarship to encourage and assist high-achieving commencing students who are experiencing financial hardship to accept an offer of a Direct Pathway into Medicine and pursue a Doctor of Medicine at the University.
