As an international student applying for a student visa to study at UWA, you are required to demonstrate your intention to remain in Australia temporarily for your studies. The genuine temporary entrant (GTE) requirement is an Australian Government regulation that must be satisfied by students coming to study in Australia.

Step 1: Fill in the form
This form should be filled in and submitted by the student applying to UWA. All questions must be answered honestly and in full. Failure to do so may render your application to UWA invalid.
Typing the form is permitted, provided the form is hand signed by the appropriate parties. The form is available at the bottom of this page.

Step 2: Submit the form
Scan all pages of the hand signed form and submit as part of your acceptance, as per the instructions in your offer letter.

Step 3: Await a response from UWA
A UWA staff member will be in touch regarding the outcome of your form's assessment. An in-person or video interview may be conducted if further information is required regarding your form.
