Part of the student visa process in Australia is confirming that you're a genuine student, coming to Australia for studying purposes. This is an Australian Government requirement, but not all students will be required to complete the Genuine Student (GS) check.

If you have a GS requirement, you will receive a conditional offer from UWA College. This means the offer you receive will be conditional upon meeting the requirements of the GS check. Any conditions that have been applied to your offer will be outlined under Section 1 of your Letter of Offer.

With a GS condition, you won't be able to accept your offer until you have provided the relevant information. Our Admissions team will also let you know if there's a specific date you're required to submit your GS requirement by. To satisfy the GS condition, you will need to complete a GS evaluation form and provide supporting documents, such as financial information, your CV, employment confirmation, etc. The UWA College Admissions team will then assess your information and provide an outcome based on the submitted documents.

If you meet the GS requirements, pending any other conditions that have been placed on your offer, you can then accept your offer and start preparing for your studies at UWA College.
